For Father's Day, the kids and I made brownie sundaes. Afterwards, Kris took Jacob to see Toy Story 3 while Ella took a nap.

Jacob's First Feis
Jake went to the Indianapolis Feis (fesh) today. A feis is primarily a dance competition, but they also have competitions in music, baking, and art.
Jacob competed in the Under 5 Light Jig (he's considered under 5 because the contest age is based on his age on January 1st) and tied for 3rd place. His group was the first to compete, so we were finished pretty quickly. We watched some of the older dancers for a while, but the kids were tired after the early wake-up call, so we went home.
Jacob is sitting on the couch in his white shirt, tie, and slacks and has decided he's wearing them all day. Makes the rest of us look underdressed! His pants should have been let down an inch from when he wore them in March, but it wasn't too bad. He looked great and had a great time.

Busy Bees!
We've gone to the pool twice and the Children's Museum once, Jake's been taking private lessons to get ready for the Feis tomorrow, and we've been doing a lot of playing.
Me: Let's go in the baby pool.
Ella: The baby pool? What? I'm not a baby, I'm three!
Me: Jake, I like your outfit. You look like a teenager.
Jacob: You mean I look like a ninja in disguise?
Ella's rocking the house on potty training now. Didn't have to use a timer or anything. She just started doing it like she'd been doing it forever.
Jacob competes tomorrow so think lucky thoughts!
(Oh, also, Kris and I will be married for 11 years tomorrow!)
